Wallhanging size: 16" x 32" (41cm x 81cm)
Just in time to celebrate the Rugby World Cup.
I used three icons
- the heart with the koru shows the passion for the game
- the silver fern, our special NZ symbol worn with pride
- the rugby ball which defines the game.
Running rugby players fabric is used for the borders, binding and backing. The moko patterned white on cream is used for the icons.
Easy to stitch. You could even reuse the patterns and make three individual mini quilts or cushions.
I used a signature range varigated cream thread (size 40) for the applique and you can purchase a reel of the thread ( 500yd (457m) with the kitset by choosing the second kitset option.
This is the same applique thread I used in the
Bone Carving wall hanging.
