Hi, You're receiving this email because {name} thinks the Southern Cross Charmer pattern. would interest you.

Designed by Mary Metcalf

Quilt size: 1.12m x 1.56m x (44” x 61½”)

The Southern Cross constellation is surrounded by a wonderful collection of New Zealand fabric charm squares.

An original quilt design that has you making the borders as you sew the blocks!

Sixty x 5½” charm squares are used and then the sashing is made from NZ stipple fern green and the sashing squares from green tussock. The Southern Cross constellation has been cleverly incorporated into the sashing. The black border strips set off the fabrics and with the white stars they are also a reminder of our national colours – black and white.

This quilt could also be made in blues for your yachting mate – try paua blue as a start. He could lie under the quilt, gently rocked by the ocean waves, while tracking the stars across the sky.

Fully illustrated instructions are included in the pattern.

Interesting fact:
The Southern Cross is a constellation (group of stars) that is found in the southern region of the night sky. It is the most commonly known, and easily identifiable of all the southern constellations. Astronomers call the Southern Cross the Crux and attach a letter of the Greek alphabet to the main stars in their order of brightness. The brightest star is at the bottom and, moving clockwise, the main stars are progressively dimmer. For more information, please click Here Regards,
