If you have visited Rotorua then you would definitely want a way to remember its many unique features.
Here I have used the
Maori Village fabric and fussy cut nine windows using the traditional attic window block pattern.
Maori koru fabric forms one side of the recess and flora beige forms the window sill. Green tussock fabric forms the sashing blocks and the second border. A koru quilting pattern for the outside black border is also included in the pattern.
Rotorua is unique for its living maori village and still active geysers. It is almost like stepping back in time and reliving the creative life of the maori especially when you view their intricately carved and decorated meeting houses and watch some of the action dances with poi and singing.
You receive the paper templates for the attic window as part of the pattern or you may wish to purchase the
acrylic attic window templates.
Interesting fact:
Whakarewarewa, 3 km (2 miles) south of Rotorua, is New Zealand's major geyser field. It has over 500 hot springs and most forms of geothermal activity, including: steaming ground, mud pools, fumaroles, boiling chloride

pools.
However it is best known for its geysers. The most significant at present is Pohutu geyser, which usually rises up to 18 m (59'), sometimes twice as much. Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve is one of Rotorua's most visited tourist attractions.
