Hi, You're receiving this email because {name} thinks the Reef and Forest bag would interest you.
Designed by Mary Metcalf

Bag size: 33cm x 28cm (13” x 11”)

Two bags in one. With small modifications you can transform the bag with the domed flap into a funky tropical bag complete with a frill at the top to echo the waves and bright tropical fish swimming beneath. I’ve added clear sequins to highlight the air bubbles from the fish.

The bag is fully lined with self made handles. This is my most popular bag as it is easy-to-make and you can use your most gorgeous fabrics. I have used the Green Aotearoa fabric but it looks equally as wonderful in the Australian Golden Wattle or in batik fabrics from www.tulis.co.nz

I also have full kits available which include the pattern and the all the fabric you require. All you need to add is the dome (press stud) and the needlepunch batting.

Interesting fact:
Margaret Knight was an employee in a paper bag factory when she invented a new machine part that would automatically fold and glue paper bags to create square bottoms for paper bags. Paper bags had been more like envelopes before. Workmen reportedly refused her advice when first installing the equipment because they mistakenly thought, "what does a woman know about machines?" Margaret Knight can be considered the mother of the grocery bag, she founded the Eastern Paper Bag Company in 1870. For more information, please click Here Regards,
